We Get Visitors!

The famous Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an!

This spring has been really busy for Scott and me, with many work trips and the visit of Scott's mom and stepdad!

Nancy and Greg hadn't traveled internationally much, but they were great troopers about trying new things and open to a lot of walking in the mid-April heat, which really felt more like July temperatures at times.

Along with showing them around Beijing and taking them to the typical haunts of the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Olympic Park and Tiananmen Square, we went to Xi'an, the Shaanxi province town known for the Terracotta Warriors, which were built to protect the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.

Street food in the Muslim quarter ... leg of something, anyone?

An adorable chef in the Muslim Quarter, cooking hand-pulled noodles for us!

By the end of their visit, you would've thought they were Chinese -- bargaining for gifts, eating the local dishes and even ready to take on the traffic. And they probably felt like this man, after all of the travel!
